Deutsche Grammophon continues the genre-defying project Fragments, an invitation from Deutsche Grammophon for thirteen leading electronic artists to respond to a single composer. With one single released each month, Fragments gradually builds over the course of a year.
“Remixing a composer like Lili Boulanger is both a tremendous honour and a real challenge. It has been an intriguing journey, bridging the past and the present, merging genres and personalities. Simplifying the music was crucial, even in a world of limitless possibilities. The past had its limitations, and today’s challenge is to balance complexity with the beauty of simplicity. My production aims to capture both eras with minimal effects, preserving the essence of the past. I hope I have succeeded in translating my idea effectively, and that everyone enjoys listening to my remix.”
FRAGMENTS – the album project celebrating music past and present by inviting some of today’s most innovative artists – goes into the second season by reworking the compositions of composer Lili Boulanger featuring Ann Clue with D´un Jardin Clair.
